Board of Directors

Valley Mountain Regional Center (VMRC) is guided by a Board of Directors that helps shape our programs and services, ensuring that people with developmental disabilities and their families have a voice in how we operate. Board members bring personal experience, professional knowledge, and community connections to guide our mission and advocate for high-quality services. The board includes members from each of the five counties we serve: three from San Joaquin, three from Stanislaus, and one each from Amador, Calaveras, and Tuolumne counties. In addition, there are four to ten at-large directors who can live in any of these counties. By law, at least 50% of the board members must be people with developmental disabilities or their parents/legal guardians, and at least 25% must be people with developmental disabilities. Each year, two additional members join the board—one appointed by the Professional Advisory Committee, and one appointed by the Consumer Advisory Committee.
