Foster Grandparents & Senior Companion Program

Foster Grandparent & Senior Companion Program (FG/SCP)
The Foster Grandparent and Senior Companion Programs are sponsored by Valley Mountain Regional Center and funded by the Department of Developmental Services and The Corporation for National and Community Service.
The programs are for senior citizens, 55 years and older, on a limited income, to volunteer with our consumers. The Foster Grandparent volunteers assist children in a school setting while the Senior Companions assist adults in day programs. The volunteers receive a stipend, meal and travel allotment, yearly physical, orientation and training.
If you’re interested in becoming a Foster Grandparent or Senior Companion volunteer, please contact Sara Darby, Program Manager at SDarby@vmrc.net or (209) 955-3351.
